PulseNote Terms of Service
Effective date: August 18, 2026
PulseNote is a study-notes app with spaced-repetition reminders, operated by Thomas Verdier ("PulseNote", "we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the app and its related services. By using PulseNote you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
These terms sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we handle and why.
1. PulseNote is beta software
PulseNote is currently distributed for testing. It is provided as-is, it may change or break, and features may be added or removed without notice.
Do not rely on PulseNote as the only copy of anything important. Your notes live on your device, and syncing to our servers is a convenience, not a backup guarantee. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for consenting to online services on your own, you must meet that age instead.
3. Your account
An account is optional — PulseNote works without one. If you create an account:
- Give accurate information, and keep your email address current so you can recover access.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself.
- Tell us promptly at support@pulsenoteapp.com if you think someone else is using it.
You can delete your account at any time inside the app, under Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is permanent. See Deleting your account.
4. Your notes stay yours
You keep all rights to the notes, images, and other content you create. We claim no ownership of it.
You grant us only the narrow permission we need to actually run the service: to store your content, transmit it between your devices, and — where you choose to create a share link — serve it to people who open that link. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups that age out on their normal cycle.
5. Share links are public to anyone holding them
When you create a share link, anyone with that link can view the note without signing in. Links are unlisted rather than secret: we do not publish them, but we cannot control where a link travels once you send it.
Share links expire automatically after 30 days.
Do not share anything you would not want seen by someone you did not intend to send it to. Do not share other people's personal information, confidential material, or anything you do not have the right to distribute.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use PulseNote to create, store, or share content that:
- is unlawful, or promotes or facilitates unlawful activity;
- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- harasses, threatens, defames, or targets a person or group;
- sexualises minors, in any form;
- contains malware, or is designed to compromise a device or account.
Do not misuse the service itself: no attempts to break, overload, or probe our systems; no circumventing rate limits or authentication; no automated bulk access; no reselling or redistributing the service.
7. Reporting content
If you receive a share link containing content that breaks section 6, report it to support@pulsenoteapp.com with the link and a short description. We review reports and can disable a link, remove content, or terminate an account that breaks these terms.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access, or remove content, if you break these terms — or if we must to comply with the law or protect other people. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.
You can stop using PulseNote at any time by deleting your account.
9. Availability
We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice so you can export or keep your notes.
10. No warranty
To the fullest extent the law allows, PulseNote is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, notes, or profits, arising from your use of PulseNote.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above and post the new version at this address. For material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use PulseNote after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
